Brian Duffy - 7th Black  - Self Defense ~ Family Groupings, What If’s, and Grafting

 

Mr. Duffy is the President of the American Kenpo Federation. He is a Five-Time Champion of Mr. Parker's Long Beach International Karate Championships, and currently owns the oldest full-time professional school of Martial Arts in Austin, TX. In 1989 Mr. Parker promoted Mr. Duffy to Fifth Degree Black Belt and began involving Mr. Duffy in projects for the IKKA such as the development of a standardized children's curriculum and revision of the IKKA belt charts and manuals. Mr. Duffy has since authored the Restructured 16 Technique Curriculum currently in use and widely accepted by Kenpo schools all over the world


Dennis Conatser – 6th Black - Basics ~ Including Forms and Sets

Dennis Conatser is a first generation student of GM Ed Parker.  He spent 12 years studying and traveling with Mr. Parker.  He has an intimate knowledge of the structure of the Kenpo system. He is a several times Arizona State Champion as well as placing at the IKC.  He has won places in forms, fighting, weapons, self defense, and breaking.

Ray McCallum - Senior Martial Arts Black Belt and Texas Tournament Legend ~ Freestyle

Ray McCallum has won every major karate tournament in the US, was rated in the top 10 fighters in the us for 10 years in a row (in the top 5 for 8 out of those 10), fought full contact in the US, Europe, and Japan, was a member of the ’83 and ’84 WAKO US Team wining Gold Medals in Light Contact and Full Contact Fighting and has taught numerous fighting seminars at my studio over the years.  Many of his personal fighting concepts and principles are exactly the same as found in American Kenpo with different terminology.

Camp Format:

Once again this year the camp will consist of 3 sessions of 4.5 hours of instruction. 

Each session will consist of a 1.5 hour class with each instructor.

Testing     – Friday 7:00 PM (by invitation only)
Session #1 – Saturday 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM – WHITE – GREEN BELTS
Session #2 – Saturday 1:30 to 6:00 PM – BROWN & BLACK BELTS
Session #3 – Sunday 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM – ALL BELT RANKS

PLEASE NOTE: Each session is limited to 24 participants due to space limitations.  Register early to reserve your spot.

Required Equipment: Uniform, belt & groin protector

Sparring Equipment

Good Attitudes & Spirit.

ANNUAL AKF BANQUET – SATURDAY OCT. 2ND – 8:00 to 10:00 PM

Friends and family are all welcome. There will be awards, demonstrations, foods, friends and fun. Come and socialize with the instructors.

There will be NO BEER, WINE OR ALCOHOL allowed on the camp grounds BEFORE, DURING, OR AFTER the camp. Anyone disobeying this rule will be asked to leave.
